Having An Affair During A Relationship On the Rocks
What takes place when you are not as interested in that person as you originally believed? What if they
simply do not fulfill all your needs? By that point
you may already be in a long standing relationship with that person.
You in all probability still love them and do
not want to hurt them. This is where many clandestine affairs
begin. You wish for more but you still want your
partner, so you wander from the path and go find someone else in an attempt to satisfy your urges.
You probably do not intend to harm your partner. Alas that does not matter.
Whether you meant to or not, you did indeed cause your partner
great harm and emotional pain that arises from betrayal.
If you see yourself not as infatuated as you once were, do not remain out of
guilt. unfortunately, many people make this error. They learn that they are not really in love with the person, but by then it is too late and they try to have a
secret affair.
So if you find that you just are not in love
with your better half any
longer, be honest about your feelings and let
them know that the relationship is over. Do it as gently as
possible, but do not let yourself to carry on the relationship out of concern of hurting them.
Regardless what the
rationalization for an affair,
always be aware that it is about the single
most hurtful thing you can ever do in a relationship. If you love your
partner, or even just respect them, don't hurt them badly ; just
go away. Let them go and move on. It will be
better for everyone involved.
